Short Shakedown Cruise

Posted on May 30, 2022May 30, 2022 by JEAN

Before we headed out on our next big trip, we wanted to take Dash on a short trip to get to know him a little better and understand more about all of his systems. We went up to the Santos Campground, just a short hop away. What is nice about this spot is that it is right next to Santos trailhead, where we have taken our mountain bikes many times in the past. Some of our followers have even joined us on these trails.

The campground is beautiful, lots of trees and shade. The trails at Santos are amazing. There is over 60 miles of trails through the woods and even a paved trail that goes all the way out to the Landbridge. For those that travel I-75, when you get close to the Belleview exit, there is a bridge that goes across the highway that has all sorts of beautiful foliage that hangs off the bridge. That is the Landbridge! It is a bridge for walkers, bike riders and even horses. This is part of the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway. You can find out more about it here https://www.floridastateparks.org/Cross-Florida
