We have seen so many beautiful mountains as we have been traveling in the northwest part of the country. It is very cool to be driving down a highway or a back road and these beautiful mountains present themselves. One of the first ones that we saw after leaving Crater Lake was Mt. Hood. From town we were treated to this view.
Next we were off to Olympic National Park. It is an amazing park. It is actually three parks in one. There are areas where you can see beautiful mountains, other areas offer a view of a rains forest with beautiful trees covered in moss. The last area is the coast of the Pacific Ocean. Here you can explore the longest undeveloped coastline in the contiguous United States. You can also visit Cape Flattery, the westernmost point of the lower 48 states. Our first stop was out to Hurricane Ridge to see some beautiful views of Mount Olympus.
We also had a chance to check out the beautiful Lake Crescent. The water was so clear and just beautiful.
I had a chance to see a little of the rainforest area when I took a hike to the Marymere Falls. It was so peaceful and quiet on the hike. The trail had some really cool features to it.
After Olympic we headed over to Mt. Rainier. We could see it from our campground, even though we were over an hour drive to get to it.
This picture is zoomed in with my fancy Samsung phone.
From far away or close up Mt. Rainier is just breathtaking.
Time to head off to our next adventure, but we aren’t done with the mountains yet. Can you guess our next stop?
The photos you’re sharing are so beautiful! Would like a bit of the cooler temps you’re feeling right now, just a breeze.
Safe travels and thanks for sharing!
After we left Wyoming, we had several more National Parks on our list.
Next up was Rocky Mountain National park in Colorado. We stayed just outside of the park so we had some beautiful views. As we traveled on the park roads, we saw this guy.
What was even more amazing was later that evening, we saw this, in our campground just steps from Dash.
