Hello 2024!! We hope you had a very happy holiday season!
With the holidays over, it is time to get back to traveling!! We headed out on our first trip of 2024 to a location about 60 miles south of us. Camp Margaritaville! If you are a Jimmy Buffett fan, then you know what to expect at this location!!
The Margaritaville vibe was dripping from every corner of the resort.
The place was really great and we enjoyed it. The weather wasn’t the greatest, but we made the best of it. I wanted to go in the pool and try the slide, but it just wasn’t warm enough for this Floridian!
This place even has cabanas to rent if you don’t have an RV or if you have friends or family that you want to share the Margaritaville lifestyle with.
We saw some really unique rigs at this location. There was apparently a club that was having a rally (actually there were several rallies). The one that was the most unique was the group that had Semi Tractors pulling 5th wheel RVs.
This person even brought their tiny home!!
One morning the tractors did a parade around the resort. The were all blowing their air horns and waving. Here they are all gathered in the parking lot after the parade.
We had a nice time on our first trip out and are looking forward to many more adventures in 2024!! We have lots of exciting things planned for this year, so keep watching your email for posts of our adventures!
Before you ask, yes, it was hot. But hey, it was summer time. Death Valley was more than I expected, the most interesting part was the diversity of the park. I thought that it was just a big, hot valley, but not so much. There is actually a lot of diversity to the terrain.
We checked out several different areas including; Zabriskie Point, that reminded us of the Badlands, the Mesquite Flat...
After beautiful Bryce Canyon, we headed to the last of the 'mighty five' National Parks in Utah, Zion National Park. This park is a little different from many of the ones that we have been to so far. Most of the parks have a scenic route with various pullouts and...
So we thought we had seen the best that Utah National Parks had to offer, and then we went to Bryce Canyon. I can not even begin to describe the beauty in this National Park. The park has an 18 mile scenic drive, with the first 3 miles of the drive called the Bryce...
We continued our journey through southern Utah over to Capital Reef NP. Looking at the map below, our travels took us north of Arches and Canyonlands up to Interstate 70. We headed south and traveled along the western side of Canyonlands NP.
On our way ov...
