Our next stop took us to our first urban camping experience. We headed to Jersey City to catch up with some more of our family.
This location was much different than what we are used to. Definitely not Dash in his natural habitat.
Here we had a chance to catch up with Ed’s niece Rachel and her husband Vincent and to meet our grand nephew Reed Mercer Iadevaia. Reed was born on January 6, 2023!
We only had a short time here, so we had to see most of the New York City from afar. Even so, we had a chance to see lots of beautiful sights, including Ellis Island, The Statue of Liberty and Freedom Tower.
Getting into the ‘campground’ was exciting, but not nearly exciting as getting around New York City on our way to Connecticut. Fortunately, we have an expert driver and a highly skilled navigator on board to get us around safely.
Oh my goodness Reed is a cutie pie!
Yes the parking looked a little tight.
Enjoy every little minute of your travels with family, new friends or just the three of you! Give Cole a hug for me.
Before you ask, yes, it was hot. But hey, it was summer time. Death Valley was more than I expected, the most interesting part was the diversity of the park. I thought that it was just a big, hot valley, but not so much. There is actually a lot of diversity to the terrain.
We checked out several different areas including; Zabriskie Point, that reminded us of the Badlands, the Mesquite Flat...
After beautiful Bryce Canyon, we headed to the last of the 'mighty five' National Parks in Utah, Zion National Park. This park is a little different from many of the ones that we have been to so far. Most of the parks have a scenic route with various pullouts and...
So we thought we had seen the best that Utah National Parks had to offer, and then we went to Bryce Canyon. I can not even begin to describe the beauty in this National Park. The park has an 18 mile scenic drive, with the first 3 miles of the drive called the Bryce...
We continued our journey through southern Utah over to Capital Reef NP. Looking at the map below, our travels took us north of Arches and Canyonlands up to Interstate 70. We headed south and traveled along the western side of Canyonlands NP.
On our way ov...
Reed is such a cutie! I can’t imagine Dash in that traffic….as it’s my old stomping grounds, and I know how congested it is! Have fun!
Nothing better than family time! Enjoy! Safe travels.
Reed is darling and full of smiles!
Wow! So much fun with family and navigation.
