Fort Pickens

We spent some time at Fort Pickens while we were in Pensacola Beach. It is part of the Gulf Island National Seashore National Park. It was built beginning in 1829 and was completed around 1833. I love to take pictures in the early morning and in the evenings. I saw a sign in Pensacola beach that said, ‘Sunshine is the best medicine’. I agree. What about you?

Of All The Places

On days that we are traveling, Cole has several places that he can sleep. The dinette area that we convert to a bed, either of two recliners or on his bed on the floor behind the cab. On our last travel day, he chose this spot instead.

So Dash needed some fuel. These days the price of fuel is very high and Diesel fuel at the truck stops just off the highway is about $4.60/gallon. At a regular gas station, it is about $3.90. The truck stops are set up for big rigs with easy in and easy out lanes. The regular gas stations, not so much. […]

San Antonio here we come!!

We are out on the road again! This is our first long trip in Dash. We are making several stops as we go to and back from San Antonio. On our first day out, Cole showed us a new way to let us know that it was time to check out a rest stop and smell all the smells!
